    Mirror Shops

Where is a good place to get a really big mirror - looking 2m by 1m sort of size. Is there a mirror "street" as there is a bath and lighting one in Wanchai? Google search only comes up with trading sites.

You can check the Yellow Pages for a place close to where you live. Or you can go to Lockhard Road. You can also buy mirrors at picture framing shops.

We got one recently from Tequila Kola in Ap Lei chau. It is about 6 feet by 4 feet and they also help put it up assuming you want it hung on the wall.

Hi Katanga, thanks for that. Are they reasonably priced? I.e. not Tree prices - a simple full length mirror there was around $5,500 which I thought was very pricey.

there is a glass shop in mongkok (either portland st or shanghai street: somewhere between Argyle and Bute streets) that can make you one for about $200-$300 HK (yes. two hundred HK dollars). They'll deliver for about another $200.

Sorry, can't remember the exact location but the place is unmissable as it has a huge piece of etched plate glass in the front in the shape of a dragon.

i think i went to the same place... i got a quote for a huge mirror (to stick onto the full wall) about 5m by 2m of about HK$4000...

but i dont know if they calculated properly, as the guy was just putting loadsa of random numbers into a calculator and then cancelling and then doing it again... and most of the other glass shops quoted about HK$10,000!

On Queensway in WanChai starting fom opposite Pacific Place Three, a couple of shops do such things.

Bought one 2 years ago for about 800/1.000 HKD (roughly the size you mentionned albeit slighlty smaller)

I got mine made at the small framing shop at the intersection of Wellington Street and Lyndhurst Street (shop is on Wellington itself). For 1mx2m, with a thick dark wooden frame, I was charged $3k which included delivery to Midlevels within a week.
