ok, went to gateway today - its hard to find. :P
i didnt research the place and just asked random people about the location of the gateway.... (also two western looking expats)
just the third expat knew about the location. its right opposite the wing on department store.

they had the wishbone brand, many different dressings, but not the french one
    miracle whip - didnt find...
just bought the dill relish at least something.

right opposite there is a parknshop supermarket on 2 floors, they have miracle whip and red bull as well

will give the super city at ifc a try tomorrow.
if anybody knows, where to get the french dressing (should be from wishbone) please give me a hint.

thanks for you support as far!

ok, just found the french dressing (american style) at the city super in the ifc mall yesterday.

didnt have time to check out olivers.

    thanks for your help!

my feedback for the imported stuff in general:

you can find some brands at the bigger parknshop and wellcome supermarkets.

gateway seems to have just american brands in stock, but of course not everything - they are still limited.

"taste" at citygate (outside of the citycentre - next to the mrt station tung chung) is huge, some brands from europe you can find there as well. dont know, if there is any "taste supermarket" closer to the centre of hk.

city super seems to be more expensive, but offer a quite good selection.

best regards and thanks for your help!

There are a few around, e.g. at Festival Walk (Kowloon Tong) or East Point City (Hang Hau).

Taste is simply one of the many brands of the ParknShop group. In roughly increasing order of "internationalness" they are:

    ParknShop
    Taste
    International
    Fusion
    Great

The prices for the same items increase as you go down that list as well.

But even some of the straight ParknShops in areas with above average foreigner concentrations (e.g. mid-levels) have a more international mix of products.

Agree that Gateway might help. I often found that City Super, Great and Park n Shop pretty much all have the same stuff (yes, I do understand why).
