The amazing secret is to have two brackets and two holes drilled in the wood for the bracket arms to fit into - so you don't see the brackets. Note how the ridiculously named shelf is thicker than would be expected ordinarily.
Even with out my O Level in woodwork I reckon I could have figured it out.
