Vintage Stores, Second Hand Stores or Charity Shops?

    Hey Hey!

I recently moved from England to HK and I am still very much adjusting to this whole new way of life. Can anyone point me in the right direction re vintage shops or cool second hand thrift shops? Charity shops - if they even exist!? I am desperate to find something quirky, original while I am here and on the cheap side. I am not interested in markets full of re-makes of stuff or huge plazas with sky high prices!

    Thanks in advance

    ccuk

Lascar Rd / Cat Street area heading to Sheung Wan. Hollywood Rd too but tends to more upmarket galleries. I say tends - cos it is well worth looking in the smaller shops.

he he he. Thank you both of you. I've been to those places mentioned Load Toad, and I'll look into the Salvation Army ting too. Everything really does seem like so much more hard work than it needs to be!!

I know you said you're not interested in shit markets full of re-make stuff, but I'm assuming you're talking about abercrombie fakes?

Cause if you go to Fa Yuen st market, there are actually quite a few cool clothes you can find in some of the shops that are behind the stalls. Just a thought. and it's really cheap!
