I've checked the local h/w shops, but they only offer a narrow range of primary colors, which is great if I wanted to only paint in black, red, or white.
Anyone know where I can find some more variety? I've seen the ads for Nippon paint that is supposed to be offered at Japan Home Center, but the branch I tried in Happy Valley did not carry it and she had no idea what I was after.

Some hobby stores would have a (slightly) bigger range. There are RC stores around Kwong Wa Street in Mong Kok.
There are automotive stores in SSP and Mongkok that *might* have spraypaints.

hobbist/model shops on end of dundas street have thousands of choice in colours and texture, assuming you only want to spray small items.
if you want spray large items, automotive stores in kowloon bay have vast better ranges than mong kok
