Ipod Touch

I am planning to buy an Ipod Touch and I realised there are no Apple stores in HK. However shops like Fortress, Broadway etc sell Ipod Touch.

I would like to know whether I can walk into these shops and buy or order online through Welcome to the Apple Store - Apple Store (HongKong)

Which would be a better option in terms of reliability?

HK is full of official Premium Resellers as well numerous retail outlets.

I got my mac from DG Lifestyle store in IFC. They were actually cheaper than the two other stores I went into (not by much, but even a little on a macbook pro is worth it). I had a problem with my power cable and took it back today - they said I should take it to the authorised service centre - at which point I just blew a fuse and pointed out that I needed to use the pc, was on my way to the airport and expected them to sell me a working machine not one whose cable breaks in 6 months. They gave me a reconditioned cable - which works - which is all I wanted. So - reliable but not without hassle!

Hubby has used the service centre for his broken (out of warrantly, 2 yr old mac) and found them convenient and efficient. He also purchased from a reseller. (well, I did, it was a present).

that got me confused too.. a lot of apple resellers here.. some with discounts esp if you buy cash. even purchase apple care.. and just go to CASE for any support you need.

speaking of which.. i gotta drop by and visit CASE for my mac prob. =/

Fortress and Broadway also sell Macs and Ipods etc which are fully covered under Apple Warranty.

Reviving an old thread : Looking to buy 3xIpodTouch 32GB units (presents from Grandpa to the kids).

Saw them at Broadway for $2288 -- I can walk in there with a wad of cash and I'm sure I can get a couple of hundred dollars off that price.

Any pointers on where I should try for a better cash deal in town? Can do MongKok if there are specific stores to go after.
