Will be moving from HK to Singapore and need a moving company to ship / cargo furniture there. How does cargo shipping work and anyone with good recommendations? I have quite a bit of furniture mainly unbreakable Ikea stuffs but have some nice teak furniture and oriental lamps which require special handling. Sante Fe seems so expensive. I don't have tonnes of cash to throw around so a reasonably-priced but honest & reliable mover is what I am looking for. Lastly, how long does shipping generally take (don't want to be in situation where I am stuck in an empty apt in S'pore)?

The shipping will take a bout 3 weeks door-to-door.
Try Santa Fe or Asian Tigers. Tell them this is you paying. The quotes are usally obligation free.
