which is not too far from ikea meatballs

I am not sure if you have had saveloy ( which is not too far off from baloney which is made from pink slime ) from uk, cos, it's made from the same things or more accurately bits of crap offcuts from various animals

Not difficult to accomplish, but I can't say they're doing that much better.

The vibes about Ikea meatballs was that it was from horsemeat (yeuk!)...and being from Manchester, I didn't have the faintest idea what a saveloy or baloney (as a food) was - we just had hot dogs or sausages.

But I tend to check the ingredient label carefully when buying processed meat (which is few and far between because the missus only eats fresh meat when she has to). Advantage of being a BBC chop suey boy, we can cook and not have to eat crap!

no saveloy in Manchester? not to go with your gravy and chips? I don't think it's regional food primarily from birmingham

you're not the only 'chop suey' from uk here, yes, I am suffice to understand the local newspapers

in regards to crap wise, depends what you have been brought up with, to a chav, scampi and chips epitomize to them has high end food, to us, it's just cheap crap, on the other end, if you're westerner in HK, café de coral epitomize as a crap food, though strangely enough I have seen a few westerners in sheung wan branch ( no other though)

    So Imp,

are you saying ( in a nutshell ) that as far as cuisine goes, The Philippines is to Asia what the UK is to Europe ?

    Its an acquired taste
Lots pf very sour, sometimes fatty and slimy stuff floating about which is not to everyone's tastes.

I do love a good lechon and crispy pata is fantastic, but not all that good for the belly.
