Thanks Katherine and Mat. It seems the stay until PR option is sensible, in addition I find the SG comments useful. Both anecdotally/2nd hand and from limited personal experience I find no clear view on working in SG. Possibly like HK each company is different with no general culture commonalities. I only had limited experience of dealing with an SG colleague during a trade floor incident who decided they couldn't stay one minute after the shift was over and dumped me with fixing their application even though they were that apps specific lead. I'm hoping it's not the norm and am optimistically seeking all views. Katherine I also see the brown people reception in UAE as more than a little worrying so I'll be careful in my search there as I do see that as a very commonplace issue.
