If the dependant visa was just extended for 2 years, is there a need to exit and come in to activate or the dependants can come anytime within the next 2 years?

The 1st visa is expiring 29th may. Already got extension for 2 years. Does the.dependant have to stay/back by may 29th. I suppose extension.means the.limit of stay is extended and there is no need to activate!! Correct me if am wrong !

You're absolutely right! All you need to do is to enjoy your stay

Just out of curiosity, do you know why some dependents get extensions for 2 years while others get 3 years?

Dependants such as wife and children will have 1 3 3 pattern. Dependant parents will get 1 2 2 3 year pattern.
