    Returning to UK

Hi guys, you've probably heard this all before but here goes,

wanting to move back to UK with HK wife and 2kids(UK) im assuming we need a family visa for my wife to enter UK and stay for 2.5 years, then I hear there is now a 10year route where there are no financial restrictions (like earning over 18000 pounds), then we just keep renewing the visa 4 times (expensive i know) before she can get citizenship?

    does this sound about right?

She had ILR before but we've been here for over 7years and as i live with my wife in HK i doubt we could get a returning resident visa so dont want to pay $5000 to try (unless you've heard it successful in other cases)

Also do you guys suggest finding a job or accommodation first?

Thanks for taking the time to read this and any advise is greatly appreciated

Speak to British Connections in HK.
They helped with my wife’s spouse visa application.

That looks like a way for the UK government to cover their backs with the ECHR. I wonder how many they have approved via this route? Note that you can only apply for this route when your wife is in the UK.

Do you go back to the UK for visits regularly? If your wife has been to the UK at least once every 2 years, her ILR should still be valid.

unfortunately not no, and they have changed the rules you have to be in the UK for a certain amount of days each year

Sorry, not giving advice because the rules have changed since I did it and I don't want to give wrong advice.

The fact that your wife already had ILR should make the chances of approval much higher I would have thought.
