Buy in Portugal - property is relatively cheap. You both can also get local residency and, eventually, citizenship, which will save you from Brexit's future limitations. And the weather is so much better. Win win win.

The UK’s Border Force eh? The U.K. doesn’t even have a police “force” now, it’s a police service isn’t it? It’s thought the word “force” might offend someone and yet we have a supposed Border Force. Any organisation with the word FORCE in its title should be manned by personnel who can carry a 25kg pack over a mountain but the UK’s Border Force is manned by fat, wet bullies who derive pleasure from the inordinate amount of power they’ve been wrongly given. Power without responsibility and this is what do you get. Pathetic and shameful.

They are in the same position as most public sector workers (excluding MPs of course). 18% cut in real wages.

    yes indeed
they need the money to pay for the HKD 9 million a year rent for the British Consul apartment here when there are two empty floors in the Consulate building since they did away of providing convenient passport services to British citizens here in HKG
