Paid in HK Living in UK

A friend of my wife has been offered a job in Hong Kong that would require her to live in UK.

Can anyone shed any light on the tax implications of this... would she be only taxed in HK?

Many thanks for any constructive advice!

If is taxed in Hong Kong, can claim tax back from UK.

Thanks Flathunter... Paid into HK bank account from a HK based employer.

Thanks resurrection...So that means she would be taxed in UK according to UK income tax laws and then would claim back the HK tax?

UK still as EU member have to follow double taxation rule so you can claim it back from UK. But since person gonna be paid to HK bank account no need to worry at all.

False if she got taxed in HK and UK, she can claim tax from UK back.

If he or she is working for a big or MNC company, the employee already knew how the taxes are accounted from exprerence. There should be no worries.
