    Nice! Is beach launching the usual in Australia vs public launch ramps? I wish we could launch in more places in BC but pretty much limited to where launch ramps or marinas are

    Indeed thank God they dropped the quarantine now and starting to let go and move on....

    @Titus - VERY WELL SAID!

    “It goes without saying to anyone who has paid attention to people from all walks of life in the last few years that many have been devastated financially and socially. A person in public office should operate more like a major component to a doctor’s Hippocratic Oath; do no harm.

    Bylaws and policies should never leave anyone worse off than they were before implementation.

    The issue is to put compassion into measurable objective policies that are enforceable without loop holes for abuse. That will be the tricky part that I look forward to the collective intellect of the TNRD board of directors as a resource to tackle.”

    The silver lining to covid is the sudden global staff shortage that means anyone like myself can get a decent job. Or at least in Canada... has it been the case in HK? I took a few medic and rescue technician courses earlier this year and now I'm hired to be a standby rescue and fire prevention tech at a major infrastructure project. I think during normal times I'd have slim chances with my completely different career path I had in Hong Kong.

    Sold the jet boat; the kids were complaining how cold it was when we boat here in interior BC in spring. Bought an aluminum one with a cabin that ought to extend the season by at least 2 months.

    Titus, your posts here continue to be inspirational, thanks for your updates, and congratulations on the election. Though I feel that I should also mention that having read the article twice, I'm still not quite sure what you won

    I'm sure you'll make it back to HK another time. I hope the rest of the family has a great time here.

    Old age is forcing me into the same upgrade. New sleeping mat and tent arrive this week, and I look forwards to testing them.

    Looks like camping tech has come a long way since I've last paid attention.

    Happy to see the OP find a wonderful new home. Canada is one of those places where you can find a bit of balance away from the hustle and bustle (especially when it comes to the west coast). Toronto is a different beast lol

    I lived near there (where these pictures were taken) in 2017-2018 and basically hated every second of it. A lot of fentanyl death, too.

    You forgot 'devastated mentally'. Many a friend have reached out feeling hopeless and not necessarily suicidal, but close to in a depressive state.

    Great post.

    Beautiful boat mate. It’s always a pleasure to hear your updates!

    I recently did a trip to Fraser Island. I think it’s the world’s largest sand island. 4 guys, 4 pickup trucks, 4 jetskis. Was an absolute blast. Camped on the beach, 4WDed to good jump off points with the skis in tow, then did a 1.5 hour cruise to more remote spots by water on the skis.

    Awesome to hear you living such a great life in Canada!

    This seems like quite a high bar for making public policy
