We have some issues in Australia that are a lot more urgent that bringing people home. For example, we are trying to set the world record for the most number of people in a sports stadium post-covid. On March 25th, we came close with 51,723 people at the MCG, but apparently this is not the record, some cricket match in India has had more. But in a few weeks (April 25th-ANZAC day), this is our next opportunity to smash the record with a full capacity crowd (100,723).

After this, yeah maybe we should pull our heads in and start vaccinating people and opening up to the outside world again.

We did it!!! Australia is officially "insane", packing in 78,113 spectators into the MCG yesterday for the traditional ANZAC day footy game, breaking the world record for most number of people in a sports stadium post covid, even beating that cricket match in India few months back. Shit, I hope we don't replicate India's fate in a few months time

Anyway, this is the reason the OP is finding flights to Sydney hard to book, because we want to maintain our normal way of life in Australia and forget about COVID.
