    Calling IRD from Overseas

Hello, I tried to call IRD from the US, and the call didn't go through. As it turned out, IRD had this strange 7 digit phone number 183.2011 that my phone system did not recognize. Does anyone know how to call this 7 digit number from the outside of HK? Thanks.

2877 1232 is a fax machine number. There are a number of 7 digit numbers on https://www.ird.gov.hk/eng/cu_enqs.htm, and I have no clue of how to call them...

I would try a simple +852 then the 7-digit number and see if that worked or not.

Email them and ask them who you should be calling from overseas:

Seconding e-mail, I have had good results when e-mailing immigration. Also, there is a lot of work-from-home, the phones may not be manned right now (nor the fax machines for that matter).
