Hi
Has anyone gone through the process of obtaining proof of original HK driving license issue date?

Swiss authorities are asking for the original license, as the current one was reissued last year (so that is the only date appearing on the license). If we use this one, they will only issue a probationary permit and oblige us to take driving school lessons.
Is it the Transport department, or the police that have that information? There were no specific links on the subject on the TD site.
Would they issue an official certificate?

HK driving licenses have issue date? Mine only has “valid to” date but no issue date.

You can submit written application to request for any details.

You might be able to do this online via iAmSmart .. not working for me at the moment.



Also.. can be done by someone in HK in manual mode.. look for form TD 320 on this page.

we have dowloaded various forms and are getting that done.
more interested in people who have actually completed this process to understand how long it took them to obtain the certificate or statement, and whether the results were usable in foreign country.
P.S. The license number ends with the date of issue.

Could you please share the process through the forms?
The certificate via the MyGov portal looks pretty much unusable as it does not contain date of issue or important details.
