wearing contact lens while swimming?

    Do you really need them in? Unless you are blind without them then I wouldn't wear them. I don't have lenses but wear glasses. Little bit blind in the water but not too bad.

    That should be without goggles, that is, not contact lenses. Since I have to wear goggles in the water anyway, I don't have a problem with my lenses popping out.

    I think if you can do without your contacts while swimming that would be ideal.

    That said, I've swam many times in the pool with two-week contacts, no goggles and never had a problem. Even swimming under water with my eyes open, but that was probably tempting fate! But generally if you're doing laps and what not, it'd probably be fine. But of course losing them is a possibility.

    Never been a fan of goggles, but if you like them, that might also solve your problem.
