    Hike for a cause!

Do you like hiking? Would you like to see one of the nicest areas of the New Territories, with a bus laid on to help you get there? Would you like to help some of the more disadvantaged folks in HK?

If yes to any of the above, please visit : Welcome to Hong Kong Unison !

And sign up for the UNISON HIKEATHON.

It's on 10th October - there are three routes so ALL LEVELS of hikers can participate.

It will be fun and we are raising money for Unison. All the details on are in the link.

Just in case you forgot it ..... here we go again :

Welcome to Hong Kong Unison !

If anyone is interested in this but feel that they really should try out the route first, the meetup hiking group is running introductory hikes on the three routes each Sunday for the next few weeks. See here:

This group's content is available only to members - Hong Kong Hiking Meetup Group (Hong Kong) - Meetup

Signing up to meetup is free and only takes about 30 seconds.

So do we have to get sponsors then? What if we just want to do the walk but can give some $ ourselves. Also, is there going to be a max limit to how many ppl can come? Sorry for Q's my computer wont let me open the link, very slow.

That's fine too. At the end of the day it's a walk on public footpaths so you can do it whenever you want without paying any money, if that's what you want to do. The whole point of the event is to raise money for a good cause (Unison).

I believe he is willing to donate money, just not through the official sponsorship channels (If that is difficult to organise)

Just a final reminder for this event, which takes place on Sunday. Details are here. Online registration is closed, but you can simply turn up and register on-site on Sunday. Shuttle buses are provided from Tai Po Market MTR station to the event, departing at 08:20, 08:40, 09:00, 09:20.

    Hope to see you there.

I shall probably stagger onto the final bus .... or perhaps the first one depending on which direction the jet-lag decides to take! Hope I manage to complete the course .... or perhaps just bail and do the short one!
