Bit of a thread resurrection here, I'm currently looking for a power rack or squat rack. So far I can only find squat racks, one by Kettler (http://www.sport-tiedje.de/de/Kettle...blage-7708-100 - assuming it's available here in HK) and one here (http://www.joinfit.hk/?product=1012).

Second one seems to hold more weight, does anyone have experience with joinfit? Or know of any other companies that sell squat racks/power racks?

    Thanks.

I buy a lot of things from TaoBao but wouldn't trust sitting under a weight on one of their racks.

I've sent you a PM. might be of interest..

I posted a while ago looking for a good gym, but after visiting/trying literally every gym I could find here I decided to get my own gear instead as I have the space. If you're interested the shop I found for the bar and plates was this: https://hk.f1.page.auctions.yahoo.co...0&actsrch=srp2 - they had one left over 2.2m 20kg bar - they say they only normally stock 1.8m because there is no need/demand for the proper bar. They had squat rack stuff too so it might be worth a look (I have seen the exact same models on taobao). However, at 6'2" they were not going to work out for me. They had a power cage with a pulldown attachment, but I didn't like the smith-style design of the hooks or the attachment (no option to get it without).

The smallest plates they do are 5kg - I'm looking for somewhere to get the 2.5kg and 1.25 kg plates to fit an olympic bar. Jointfit seems to do them: http://www.joinfit.hk/?product=olymp...tri-grip-plate - is this a reasonable price? Any alternatives? Also looking for alternatives for power racks - does anyone have experience of getting one custom built?

Thanks for the input, it seems joinfit has the best selection in terms of an online store. I saw this on their website:

Yes, please call us at 21519915 and ask for Patrick (English / Mandarin / Cantonese), make an appointment (necessary) and then come to try our functional fitness training or rehab equipment in our showroomn during office hours near Fortress Hill MTR Hong Kong before you decide to buy.

However we do not sell products in the showroom, the premises is for trying sample only.

So you can go and check the stuff out then make an order.
