I found it difficult to read. So you didnt actually want to extend your contract but you did, and it cost $4500? how many months is the new contract? And what extras did you get?

Let me recommend in the future just go to a reasonable local hotel and join their gym. The price will be slightly more than physical but I think it's a much nicer experience and in my case I only pay in 1 or 3month chunks... so I'm not tied down for long, meaning if I get too busy or move from the area I won't renew.

Learn the lesson, never hand over your credit card or sign something without an amount. OK, they might have mis-led you but you have been very naive.

Isn't there 7 day cooling off periods now under Consumer laws in HK?

Another tip, instead of constantly going back and editing posts after people have replied, just re-post

If it's any consolation, I just read the whole first post to my wife very quickly and we found it quite funny.

My wife said in HK they call these gyms the "black shops" which basically means theyre famous for misleading you into spending money.

I didn't read through the post as it was too difficult.

Ring up the credit card companies and cancel these transactions.
