I found it difficult to read. So you didnt actually want to extend your contract but you did, and it cost $4500? how many months is the new contract? And what extras did you get?
Let me recommend in the future just go to a reasonable local hotel and join their gym. The price will be slightly more than physical but I think it's a much nicer experience and in my case I only pay in 1 or 3month chunks... so I'm not tied down for long, meaning if I get too busy or move from the area I won't renew.

If it's any consolation, I just read the whole first post to my wife very quickly and we found it quite funny.
My wife said in HK they call these gyms the "black shops" which basically means theyre famous for misleading you into spending money.

I want to know if there are really a cooling off period for those pre-paid service. I know that for sure insurance has cooling-off period about a month.
