    Sailing around Hong Kong

    Hi,

are there any sailors out there who can tell me how and where to get sailing around Hong Kong? Maybe somewone is arranging or wants to arrange to charter a boat?
Please let me know if you are looking for someone to go sailing with!

Why don't you visit one of the yacht clubs, I used to sail from Hebe Haven Yacht club, and as soon as we get organised ( we just moved and finished renovations of our home ) we will be becoming a part of a crew on a 12 metre racing class here.

You shouldnt find it hard to be an associate member of a crew, most yacht owners who race, need a min crew of 4 and preferably 6 to 9 is ideal. Once you are in with a crew, it opens the door to day sailing around HK, most privately owned yachts are B32 day sailers, which can race in their class. Loads of fun, but use plenty of sun block, or you'll get burnt to a crisp 5 hours on the water lol.

Basically you could make enquiries at:

The Royal Hong Kong Yact Club
    The Aberdeen Yacht Club
The Hebe Haven Yacht Club ( on the way to Sai Kung )
The Gold Coast Yacht Club ( Tuen Mun )
Discovery Bay also has its own mariner, and sure to have a club.

    Hope that helps...
