Are you looking for someone teaching in a Pilates studio or outside a studio? Mat class or Reformer? Any special needs (injury rehab etc)?

Thank you for your response. It all depens on locations, available time slot, price etc.

My preference is in the Kowloon side.

You are not helping me to understand your objectives/what you are looking for from a Pilates instructor.

Pilates can be taught in different forms and different levels of personal attention: from a group Mat class at a gym/fitness club (free as it is included in your membership) to a private lesson using a specialised equipment such as Reformer. The latter is quite expensive (HK$500+) but ensured individual, targeted approach, compared to a group class.

There are also Reformer group classes costing around HK$200. The equipment is usually only available at a Pilates studio. Your instructor will be provided once you book a lesson.

If you have a specific rehab objective, a health issue or a postural issue and you are referred to a Pilates instructor by your doctor or your physiotherapist, you should at least start with a private class. If you simply want to improve your core strength you can just join a Pilates Mat class at your regular gym.

There are Pilates studios in HK and you just google them. All instructors working in those studios would have some sort of cerfitication, so the quality of instruction is usually quite good. I find that the level of instruction of the Group Pilates classes at a gym can vary, depending on the instructor's background and main interest (many learn Pilates as complimentary to Yoga or Personal Training).

    Hope this helps.
