Super Bowl Live on ATV

Just in case if you didn't know...

ATV is going to show the Super Bowl Live on ATV HDTV. I checked their schedule and seemed they have been broadcasting playoff games already on channel 13.

Good news to American football fans.

Superbowl's on FOX, that deal was with ESPN...so ATV/Slingbox might be our only hope...IIRC the games NOW showed this season were Sunday night (NBC) and Monday night (ESPN)

Umm...actually many NFL games shown on ESPNStar in HK this year were from FOX...so that statement makes no sense.

NFL (the league) strikes broadcasting deals directly with networks (so while in US different games may be on different networks, in Asia all rights can belong to the same network). In September, they gave the Regional Rights for simulcast to YESTV which already reached the deal with NowTV.

This year the Superbowl will also be shown live in Hong Kong on Now TV (I'm just not sure of the channel yet). The only reason to watch it through Slingbox will be to watch the commercials (which will not be shown during the International Broadcast).
