Would you be interested in having a try out at Tai O some time? I wouldn't mind taking the ferry over and seeing what happens...

An alternative that seems to be popular with anglers is Sha Lo Wan, but you are very locked into the ferry schedule or have to be happy with a 45+ min walk out to Yat Tung.

So result was not even a bite. No one was catching but the view was nice. Cheers Grunt, I'll give that a go as we want a new venue.

Last Thursday I sat along TST harbour, just before the Avenue of the Stars. 2 blokes was on the edge line fishing and between them they were catching foot long basses every 20mins or so.

Did you happen to notice what bait they used?

I didn't go close enough to see, my mate and I was sat on the stairs about 10ft behind them. As they were locals, my mate (a local) mentioned they'd be using bread crusts, not sure if that's accurate or not.

Thinking about it, I haven't been that way for a couple of months. The construction of the bridge to Macau might have completely messed that one up by now.
