Yes ManU pretty mediocre by their standard. Don't understand it really. Left me wonder if they simply worked harder under Sir Alex out of fear and/ or coz of his intimidating style & personality. Big test mid week CL and coming weekend Spurs away from home.

Nothing taken away from Hull, they played well, but Liverpool really didn't turn up to the match.

No penetration in midfield and severely lacking in ideas once they got over the halfway line.

Much of their play was trying to force it through the middle and not utilizing the wings. Only person I remember going wide to try and collect a ball was Suarez which automatically cuts down your scoring options in the centre.

NW14 What about the Spurs game? Lucky draw for ManU?

All matches were predictable apart from the Hull-Liverpool game. Wasn't surprised with the Spurs manure game and now the bookies have AVB as joint favorite to be sacked along with Chris Houghton.

Both ManU goals came from defensive errors from Spurs.
Walker mishit straight to Rooney for the put away, and Lloris bringing down welbeck (although you could argue it was a bit harsh).

Sandro's goal was superb however, and worthy of being a match-winner. Spurs are their own worst enemy and you could see their fragile confidence on display immediately after taking the lead both times.

Another forgettable match for Saldado and surely AVB must be thinking he has made a 26 million pound mistake there. Paulinho played a brilliant pass to set up a certain goal for him only to see it blazed over.
Positives for Spurs though are that Lennon had a good first half (and then faded after half time), Sandro looked good and finally AVB decided to give Defoe a run who looked much more threatening in 10 mins that Soldado did for 80.

Man U without Rooney or RVP this season would be a different story.

I thought Rooney was excellent, without him man u would have been ordinary IMO.

Indeed. Rooney is single-handedly saving Man U's season.

Although Valencia did play a reasonable game.

27.5 million pounds for Fellanni to warm the bench.
