6 nations is on one of the NOW channels right? I have every available sport channel open apart from NBA channel as basketball sucks.

Do you have a friend, in the UK, that has a SKY account? If yes - then yes. Install Hola, use your friends Sky account and watch it live from your laptop, desktop or android device.

I know there are other ways but my wife just likes to switch the telly on and off and change channels with one remote. Also a little box is much better then a dirty great desktop sat on the cabinet.

Sorry but just my preference over a nagging wife who doesnt like tech.
Actually, it's not really cheaper. The UKTV HK box price includes the HDMI cable and wifi dongle whereas buying from the US site doesn't include them.

So comparing like with like i.e. box + HDMI cable + dongle + shipping to HK is US$174 (without insurance) or US$199 (with insurance & international delivery in 4-5 days) on the US site compared with US$179 on the HK site.

Of course, you can avoid buying the dongle & HDMI cable so it only costs $144 (uninsured) or $169 (insured) to buy from the US site. If you take the cheaper uninsured and slower delivery option from the US, you can save a princely US$35 - or US$5 if you want delivery within 4-5 business days (and/or insured). I guess it depends on 1) how long you're willing to wait for delivery, 2) if you already have a dongle and HDMI cable you can use and 3) if you don't care about insurance (yes Grunt, this is for you!) although I assume you can probably claim your money back via Paypal if there's an issue. Personally, I also like the option of my technical support person actually being in HK....I know exactly where to find him if there's a problem. Poor b*stard.

I sympathise with your missus. I hate tech too. I can sort stuff if I have to but I have no interest and no patience with it. This box is so easy though. It's pretty much plug and play. It takes me longer to boil my kettle.

Good point. Just one more thing, you would need to get a US-UK plug adapter for the one from US.
Mine took 4 days to come but I didnt know about the one in HK before anyway, only that dodgy outfit that currently spams everywhere.

Your friend will create a separate ID for you...

Grunty am looking into some options into this involving Sky's NowTV box. Will get some more info after CNY.

Ha ha. Nah, we LOVE the food/supermarket adverts.....much drooling over the what's available and the cheaper prices. I also find it quite handy to see what's being sold in the UK as buyng presents can be difficult as I never know which stuff we have here that they can't get in the UK....get excited over something here that I never saw in the UK but it's been 3 years since I lived there so turns out you can bloody buy it there too (and often cheaper). I'm guessing this is more of a female "problem" since men are allowed to be rubbish at gift buying.
