The lazy way to Tai Long Wan

My usual approach to Tai Long Wan in Sai Kung involves catching a speedboat from Wong Shek Pier, then hiking for 45 minutes over to Tai Long Wan.

Does anyone know whether it's possible to just catch the speedboat all the way around Tai Long Wan to get dropped off on the beach?

i've wanted to get out there myself, but have never known how. a 45 minute hike doesn't sound too bad.. but a direct way would be much better! where do get the speed boat to wong shek pier from?

you can catch a speed boat directly from wong shek pier it costs about $80 one way depending how many people are in the boat. Depends on the surf if they can bring the boat. Also you can catch a boat from sai kung its about $180 return but alot more bumpy.

Wong Shek to Tai Long Wan will sting you at least $400 (per boat) one way for the boat. Sai Kung to Tai Long Wan will cost even more, minimum $600 (per boat).
If you get tired Hoi Fung restaurant in Ham Tin can arrange a boat back to Sai Kung.
And yes, anything but minimum swell and they will not take you around. This means winter time is isn't really possible.
