Germany's secret weapon ( extra edge in addition to an already strong team), maybe the English fa needs to take a leaf from german tactics and planning, plus get rid of hodgson

The English FA needs to consider whether it's serious about having a national team first.

Just in his own team Masherano did more than Messi in the Semi and Final.

yeah sure he scored in the group stage but no disrespect to a great footballer, he wasn't on the last 3 games worthy of this title.

Kroos or Masherano more like it.
Agree with your assessment. Love Messi but he wasn't the best player at the tournament.

What suggests England aren't serious about having a national team?

I would rank Neuer as having had a better tournament than Messi.

In terms of consistently excellent performances, I think Rodriguez or Vlaar. They're the only two players I can think of who were just immense in every game they played. Maybe Mueller too.

He did get the Golden Glove at least.

We are all forgetting one name when we talk about player of the tournament.

He played a part in more of Germany's goals than any other player, captaining his side in the biggest result of the world cup, crying before and after the game, and has now become the most expensive defender of all time..

    That's right.

    David Luiz!
