Spain vs Chile. How many of you will be watching the game? Will be a cracker. Spain needs maximum points. I'm 100% in although gotta skip the first game to catch up some sleep. How is the relationship between the two countries? Roughly 10500 km apart but a lot in common. Not only the language. Somehow will cheer for Chile but my money is on Spain.

I know the World Cup fuels passion, but why can't we just all get along?

    From the New York Times:

    Correction: June 16, 2014
An earlier version of this article misstated the last time Germany won the World Cup. It was 1990, not 1090.

So if we're moving on, I'd like to mention that Mexico are the first team ever outside of Europe and South America to take points off Brazil. Pretty amazing stat, hey, Trebor!!

No it's the most uninspiring irrelevant stat ever.

Nobody is surprised the likes of North Korea, Zaire, china, Australia, Costa Rica, morocco, Algeria and New Zealand have never taken a point off brazil before.

    Although Scotland did once.

OK, on the topic of premier league, I will be in England for the opening day, and will head to Anfield to watch Southampton take on the scousers - can't wait!

For tonight, I'm cheering on Australia.
