hey guys,
i want to take a massage therapy course for beginners, to aid my passion for learning and teaching yoga.
i met the therapist at www.indigorolfing.com and inquired about a massage therapy intensive. he is preparing a course that will treat the fascia (the uninterrupted, three-dimensional web of tissue that extends from head to toe, from front to back, from interior to exterior) in a deep manner, but with gentle manipulation. it is not like sports therapy (with sudden moves), or swedish (rather cosmetic and superficial in comparison). we plan to have 5 or 6 sessions adding up to 20 hours within a month.
no experience is necessary, simply passion! the venue is a big, comfortable room in Central on Wellington St, with clean massage tables and dim environment.
the problem is the price is very expensive for just one person to take, HK$13 000 in total (about US$1 600), but it will only cost half at $6500 (about US$800) for two people.
i can take training anywhere, but i have received a demo from him, and he is very proficient and skilled (has backgrounds in competitive swimming in dance). he is also tremendously thorough and likes to tailor the class around specific individuals' experiences and interests.
i am looking to start the course asap, within next week. as i recently returned to hk (just been here for 3 days), and do not have enough contacts here.
the instructor will also teach pressure points, self-massage, and movement therapy.
i can assure you that this will be very exciting! you can gain the skills to help loved ones relax and make them feel very good!
please forward this request to anyone you think may be interested!!
