Iceland 1-1 Hungary. FT. Only a late own-goal denied Iceland their first ever Euro win.

Undefeated Iceland! You read that right. After two rounds, Iceland is undefeated in Euro 2016.
Hungary atop Group F with a win and this draw.

POR v AUS later today will see all teams with two matches played.

POR hits a post off a set play at 29". The chances are plentiful for POR, but finishing touch elusive. AUS clearly outclassed, but POR is frustrated and it shows with a needless yellow shown to Quaresma for excessive chirping at the official. Scoreless still but you have to think POR will break through simple based on quantity of chances.

HUGE chance for AUS on a free kick taken from left of the GK. 41". FK from a Pepe hard tackle that earned him a yellow. Tackle was just a couple of feet away from being a PK.

    Scoreless at the half.

The longer POR allow an inferior AUS side to hang around, the more likely something fluky and/or spectacular might happen.

Second half underway and immediately POR GK forced to make a good save on a low drive to his left!

So far in Euro '16, POR have a single goal on 40 shots.

Play completely contained in AUS end for several minutes. Two or three good chances from POR answered by equally good saves by AUS GK. Intensity of match ratcheting up. Both GK have made big saves to keep this match scoreless at 60".

Sub 65". AUS. Alaba out. Schoepf in.

Ronaldo with his umpteeth free kick this tournament and sends it just over the crossbar.

70 minutes played. No goals scored.

Sub 71". POR. Quaresma out. Mario in.

Ronaldo gets feet tangled with AUS defender in penalty box and the official bites. PK.

    AND
    HE
    MISSES!

Hits the woodwork. GK was diving to his left, Ronaldo shot left . . . too far left by a few cms.

Ronaldo finally nets one at 85" . . . only to see the flag up. I'm awash in a sea of schadenfreunde.

Still scoreless in the 90th minute. Only three extra minutes added.

FT. Scoreless draw. I suspect this match might just be the warm up act with Ronaldo's post-game interview being the main attraction.

POR third in group based on total goals scored.

    Iceland undefeated. Portugal winless. ;-)

N.B. in Euro 2016, the top four team that finish third in their group move on.
