I'm torn on new format. It certainly made things more interesting to the very last match/score about who was on to the knockout rounds, but it's hard to be excited about teams without a single win move through and luck into the easy side of the bracket (I'm looking at you, Portugal).

Euro 2016 expanded format rewarded failure and sub-par performances like Portugal and Ronaldo - ESPN FC

trust the american suggest " two goals per game is not good entertainment" they expect exciting sports to have goals/scores exceeding three figures !

They will do very well to get past an excellent croatia side.

To be topical, a joke for today.

The England team did not vote in the referendum - they couldn't find the box let alone put a cross in it.

Thanks for the laugh, Hull. Much needed. I'm still sitting here slack-jawed at the Brexit. Hasn't sunk in yet. Scared shitless of the other dominoes it may yet knock down in the world order.
