California Fitness - Who Will Take Over?

The management at The One have been telling people that they are in negotiation with a new Gym Chain that is taking over a few of the Calif locations. Does anyone have more info on this? Thx J

Seems like Opus Group are backing a group called Smart Fitness who have taken the One, Megabox and Whompoa. Would not be surprising to find out that former directors of JV fitness or the Ansa group are involved.

I've heard that FF might be taking over the Whampoa premises.. This was a few weeks ago but it could just be a rumor. Its pretty pointless as most members have moved on.

The equipment in Taikoo branch was on sale last month. I was there in person. $800 for a rusty spin bike lol
$2,000 for a treadmill if I remember correctly. The cable machine was gone when I reached there
