Some big results! Iceland with a famous win in Turkey as they're definitely out. No Russia 2018 for Turkey.

    ( 9 October )

Massive wins for Wales & Ireland last night and after the rather surprising Serbian defeat ( Austria restored some pride ) - this group is wide open and going down to the wire

    3 Ireland 16
    4 Austria 12
    5 Georgia 5

The Netherlands are almost certainly out. They have to beat Sweden on Tuesday ( Amsterdam-Arena ) with at least 7:0 in order to reach the play-offs but that's highly unlikely. Congrats to the Blågult. Convincing win last night - scoring 8 goals isn't easy. France should be wrapping up the top spot and the direct qualification against Belarus ( in Paris ) on Tuesday.

    Standings
    1 France 20
    2 Sweden 19
    3 Netherlands 16
    4 Bulgaria 12
    5 Belarus 5
    6 Luxembourg 5
