    Team trainers and mechanics will have a lot of work tonight and tomorrow. Lots of falls, flat tires, mechanical issues. Bardet had three flats today... Came back twice but the last one was too much. As is often said, you don't win the tour on these stages but you can certainly lose it. Porte is out of the race, Uran and Bardet lost time... Let the mountains begin...

    Bardet did a miraculous return. It was a shame that the TV camera motorcycle did not show his superhuman effort. Particularly since the (French) camera motorcycle remained very close in front of him where they could have broadcast extreme close ups, risking showing him being pulled along by the motorcycle so that the (French) commissaries might give him a time penalty for drafting.

    I wonder what promoted the (French) TV producer not to show those pictures.
