. . . . yeah . . . Eight miles at 8:20 pace and two mile cool down was the right choice. City could easily lose the plot (and Premiership) if they sulk. Lick your wounds and carry on. Spurs deserve to move through. Could be an all-England finals.

well done @huja congrats on your run and the time; yes it's hugely disappointing but I'm very sure City will be bouncing back ... UCL is highly unpredictable. Teams like PSG and Juve seams like they''re chasing the ultimate European Club Championship dream for an eternity ( Juve's last one in 1996, PSG zero so far ) and e.g. German power house Bayern Munich waited 25 years ( winning the 4th ) and then another 12 years getting the 5th UCL/ European Cup trophy. Liverpool in the driving seat at the moment but nothing is won yet and Kloppo knows that all too well. Imperative to stay humble and cautious at Anfield

Gotta watch the City game again. First 25 minutes simply unreal; so many current UCL records had been broken. Unbelievable stuff!

Odd year. There is a scenario where a top-four club in the EPL fails to make UCL next season.

What if Liverpool or Tottenham wins Champions League AND Arsenal or Chelsea wins Europa League?

Here's where things can get a little crazy–and a top-four finisher in England could wind up missing out on the Champions League.

That wouldn't be the case of Liverpool wins the Champions League title, given it would keep the Premier League at its maximum of five UCL entrants.

But say Tottenham wins Champions League and either Arsenal or Chelsea wins Europa League, yet both miss out on the top four in England–a scenario that remains in play. Since the Premier League can't exceed five teams in the Champions League, that would mean the fourth-placed finisher would be dealt the misfortune of being dumped into the Europa League.
