    Working as Personal Trainer

    Hello All:

I'm a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, looking to work in Hong Kong.

I wanted to ask anyone in the industry how it works in Hong Kong. Should I apply to individual gyms (in the case of chains like Physical) or the head office?

All help appreciated. Trying to get a better idea of how to proceed.

your biggest hurdle is "DO YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO WORK IN HK OR NEED A WORK VISA".

If you need a work visa (sponsorship) by the gym then I doubt you will get any gym to sponsor you or even get a visa approved by HK Immigration dept.

There are plenty of local personal trainers working in the gyms.

While I appreciate the zealousness to determine my visa status, i am asking how to best break into the industry.

Your visa is critical on whether you can break into the industry legally or not.

Apply and find out. At the local gyms out create your own private gym. Many PT are doing that now.
