Forest of course Also a club with a glorious past - 2 times European Cup winners I think. Btw Leeds’ 0:2 defeat against Bayern ‘75 ( the Final in Paris ) my dad always said they were the better side and Bayern won against the run of play. Roth & German legend Gerd Müller the goal scorers!

Or perhaps people thought City had 'bought' their titles breaking the rules put in place to make the league fairer and more exciting.

The teams that came 2nd to City are perhaps hoping

    2011/12 Man U
    2013/14 Liverpool
    2017/18 Man U
    2018/19 Liverpool
    2020/21 Man U

After having a night to sleep on the news, I don't think the FA/PL will choose the nuclear option. Why? Because it'll set precedent of both rules and statute of limitation. The same clubs currently basking in City Schadefreuden . . . would their dealings and financials over the past decade-plus stand up to the same scrutiny that City has gotten? While it's currently chic to trash foreign ownership, don't forget the state of the PL before oversea buyers breathed life back into the League.

My guess is the City gets hit with a fine that is a large figure when seen out of context but a rounding error for ownership. They'll get docked enough points to insure they miss out on the Premiership but not the UCL.
