Tennis is weird now a days

    check this video

Opposition forced Aldila Sutjiadi and Miyu Kato disqualification after the ball touched someone. isn't this going too far?

French Open: doubles pair disqualified after stray shot leaves ball girl in tears - YouTube

few years back Djokovic also faced such incident, the shot was careless that time and it was hard but this was very soft.

    Ridiculous,

Someone clearly unsuitable to be a ball girl blubs over that, and worse, opponents seeking to benefit unfairly from a very minor accident.

    Stomach churning.

The judge said, "If you hit the ball in-between points and it hits someone and they are injured, then you are responsible for the end of the match”

    IF SOMEONE IS INJURED.

The ball was too slow to cause physical injury. The ball-girl wants attention. Crying and leaving. Wow.

It was a hard backhand that nailed the ball girl's throat. She was in semi-convulsions from it and breathing erratically. Yes, it was an accident, but players are pros and need to pay attention to what they're doing when they smack a ball without a glance in the direction of where they're hitting it. Disqualification? Dunno. Maybe a point loss would have sufficed.

If she'd 'smacked' a ball then we'd agree with you, but she certainly didn't, she passed it to the ball girl.

If the ball girl had been paying better attention she would have just caught it, looked in control, flashed a smile and got an approving nod from the crowd.

Ball girls are expected to be competent too, no punishment for not being switched on 100% of the time, but similarly not everything in life should be attempted to be controlled to the nth degree.

In a sporting arena, passing the ball back like that to the person who's job it is to collect the balls is perfectly reasonable and she's probably done it thousands of time before with coaches and training partners etc all without drama.

The opponents actions in pushing for DQ set an appalling example to societies, kids, fans, etc everywhere.

Shitty people being rewarded for being twats is a much, much, much bigger problem than the occasional errant pass back to a ball person.
