    Seconds and Factory Overuns

For hiking and ski clothing: My go-to shop in Johnston Rd closed a few years ago. It had a section at the back with good brands (Arcteryx etc). Does anyone have any suggestions for similar shops?

That was my go to shop as well, if you mean the shop a few doors up from the 5 Guys (and Pawn Shop). I have not found somewhere as consistent in stock, as Shri says, most other shops are hit and miss.

I get it - probably more likely to score that lurid 1980s one-piece ski suit I didn't know I needed

I was annoyed to find it closed when I went to replenish my socks.

There are outdoor shops around Apliu St in Sham Shui Po- they have some branded goods but I do not think of the same quality as the Johnston Road shop. I think copies rather than overruns. The clothes shops at the Fa Yuen Road by Moko in Prince Edward also have some outdoor clothing- often right at the back of the shop.

Decathlon or poor quality in comparison?

Decathlon is great. This shop just had a good selection of sock, t-shirts, shirts, heavy coats, bags. Range of brands, all good quality and inexpensive. Also bras. Lots of bras.
