    Bowflex Treadmill from US???

    Hi,

Just moved to HK and we brought a Bowflex treadmill with us (model TC6000) ... it's got a standard "kettle" power socket.

We picked up a similar power lead (with HK wall plug) ...

Does anyone know if the Bowflex machines have any kind of voltage convertors inside them, or are we about to fry this seriously expensive bit of kit?

    Thanks!

    According to their manual

    http://download.dfxi.com/supportdocs...M_RevA_web.pdf

    Operational Voltage 95 to 130 VAC 50 - 60 Hz
    Operating Current 10A Max
    Breaker 12A

You might be able to buy a transformer for this..

    Shri,

Thanks for this info - had been unable to locate their manual online.

    Appreciate it!

Any ideas on where to buy a power transformer in HK?

    Cheers!

If you bought it in the US, chances are practically zero it would be dual voltage; and plugging it straight into HK power supply would guarantee that expensive toy instant 'fry-dom'. Remember that to be the case with most electrical appliances made for US/Canada unless they are portable electronics, PC monitors, printers (sometimes), or things like travel hair-dryers. Appliances made for East Asian markets have a somewhat greater chance of being dual voltage.
