WTB: Custom made backpacks

Hello to all,

I am interested in having a backpack custom made. Would appreciate any information on Hong Kong shops that do this.

What do you mean by "backpack"? A serious piece of hiking gear for multi-day camping trips or climbing expeditions, or an around-town shopping bag with a logo or fancy colours on it?

If the former, there isn't anything locally. The only custom pack maker I know of is Dan McHale (McHale Custom Ultralight Fitted Internal Frame Backpacks) in Seattle and he rarely agrees to ship internationally. Even if he did, you'd be looking at USD400-1000 for a pack before shipping. It's a lot, but you end up with one of the best packs in the world. Or you could contact Cold Cold World to see if they'll do a modified design of one of their existing packs.

If you just want some kind of urban pack, then I suspect you'll still have to look overseas and your best bet is with the chi chi messenger bag companies. Timbuk2 is the cheapest maker that does custom colours. ReLoad, WIG and Bugaboo do fully custom stuff.
