Anyone want to learn to windsurf?

I'm planning on taking a beginner's windsurfing course, would anyone like to join in with me? Probably on a weekday, but might be able to do a weekend. I'm 29, female, like sports and outdoor activities, pretty new to HK so also keen to meet new people into the same sort of things as me!

The courses at Cheung Chau Windsurfing Centre are $800 per person for a group of 1 - 3, or $600 per person for max of 5 people. Full day, 5 hrs tuition.

    1-2-3-4

Did the "$600 per person for max of 5 people." few weeks ago. Was worth it!

Only thing is that there wasnt so much wind in the afternoon so what we did was more "floating" than windsurfing

That's good to hear! Isn't that better than too much wind for beginners though?!

Once you've done this course is it possible to just hire equipment to practice?

Yes, you can rent whenever you want!
And of course it's difficult to learn with strong wind... but not funny at all with NO wind

    Hi,

If you guys want to do more progressive courses, (such as Harness technique, Flare Gybes, Footstraps etc) give me a shout. I do RYA windsurfing courses in Stanley. Plus, more often than not I'm there on weekends doing additional coaching and can come out and give you some further tips etc....there's a wee gang of around 15 others who do same, if you want to join..!
