    International driving licence

    Hi guys..

I read thru lot of threads, but did nt get the clarity still , I have following questions..

    1. I hold a Indian Driving licence and in hongkong since last 10 months , I would like to apply for a International Driving licence. - Is it possible and what are the charges.

    2. My driving licence has my before marriage name on the licence and now my name is changed, Do I need to show my old passport ?? I have my original marriage certificate as proof - will it be fine.

    3. I am on a dependent visa which expires in Oct'10 - Am i still eligible to get international Driving licence or I have to wait till my visa extension.

By law you are not allowed to use an international licence after 6 months residency.

You must by law, convert your licence to a Hong Kong one, if you are legally a resident of the HKSAR.
