Hi guys...any recommendation for fixing some stuff (radiator, maybe a bit wonky electrics) from a Honda Steed? I'd prefer within the island, but I guess I can go Kowloon side if it's worth it. Thanks!

Guys does anyone here have experience in downsizing rear sprockets on a Honda CB400 here, i am thinking of going down from original 44T to 38-40T at rear.

anyone with any experience here? i found some posts on Aussie/Singapore forums but nothing locally.

    Hi Timonoj,

You can try Kelly's Motors on Caroline Hill in Causeway Bay. He is an authorized Honda Dealer.
Speaks english and has given me honest service.

Could you PM his hourly rate? Probably getting a CB soon as well and want to know what work costs around here.

I don't know his hourly rate. It will depend on the work being done. Another expat recommended him to me and he is the only shop I have been to. You can call them and ask for an estimate.

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but where / how do you guys normally wash your bikes?

In the apartment complex I live they don't allow people to wash cars/motorcycles, and they seem quite anal about the rules being followed. It also doesn't seem very convenient to bring enough water down from my flat and do it somewhere on the street.

Do they have any "self service" car wash in HK? Is the only option to give it to a car wash company (presumably quite expensive)?

    Thankful for any advice!

Hi all. I posted the below on another thread earlier, but it seems like this might be a more appropriate place. Thanks!

Just getting started on the path to motorbiking in HK. No real experience other than the odd rental in South East Asia, but lots of road cycling experience. Just wanted to to check as it is not entirely clear on the DT website or this thread:

    - It seems that you can ride your own bike in HK with just the CBT and L plates. I see there are road and time restrictions, but are there any restrictions on engine size (e.g. only up 125cc)? For example, could I get my CBT and then go get a functional used 250cc to build up some miles and experience on my own before passing the full test?

    - Has anyone done a cross-border trip to the mainland on their bike? I know there is another thread on the complications of China licence etc, but just wondering if anyone has actually finished that process and ridden over the border.

    - At the moment I am thinking of doing my lessons with KTDS - any reason I should choose HKMS or Lee Kin instead?

Looking forward to getting road legal!

    Cheers = )

    Hi
Does anyone know for sure which companies will provide P-plate cover? I'm running into some difficulties. Thanks!
