Very nice! Those tyres look like they want to do something fun, you should try riding up the dirt track on Lau Fau Shan
Looks like you can fit plenty of beer in the panniers.
I've been dreaming for a while of renting/buying a GS back in UK and touring it around Europe and beyond.
i wouldnt try the GS up at Lau Fa Shan. most of the trails would require u pickin that bike up every 5 minutes... very rocky! bumpy steep etc- way too tight and technical for that type of machine.. that GS would be awesome burning thru the outback dirt roads in Austrailia tho...
actually there was a guy who rode one of those from here to Austrailia - was a TV show on it....
I went out in the woods for an hour today...

nah he rode the whole way - took a few ferries here an there.. - show was called wheel 2 wheel - was on nat geo - then some ozzie tv channel
Haha yes I would agree with that for now… still need to hone my slow speed skills on a tall bike (when I set the electronic suspension to endure mode it lifts the bike up another inch or so and I can't even tip toe with both feet any more). I've gotten rid of the TKC80s that the previous owner had on them and got back to reality with more road biased radial tires. Was surprised how well the TKC80s did up Tai Mo Shan considering the tread block pattern but they wore down very quick on dry pavement.
What's this Lau Fao Shan trail you guys talk about? I keep seeing people post pics and videos with dirt bikes in HK but can never seem to find any trails?
Was too much of a wuss first week picking up the bike (mine's a 2nd hand 2008 model by the way) to try to fly across that ditchYet another expectation vs reality LOL:
