forgot to pay for my road vehicle license annual fee thing

totally slipped my mind - havent rode much recently,,

    its a month overdue..

from memory can sign a disclaimer saying I havent used it ( i have)

seem to remember payiing a daily rate on my wife's bike a couple of year ago ( or is that a sleeo deprived fantasy ? )

dont mind to pay.... rather than perjure myself..

is it an option? wanna sort this out tomorrow

yes, you can. Easiest to do this in person at the Transport Dept office.

If the vehicle has been off the road in the period concerned and you can sign a declaration to that effect, they don't charge you for the license fee. If you don't sign the declaration, then you pay the daily rate for the missing period.

    The form is here: http://www.td.gov.hk/filemanager/com...8(2012.04).pdf

if it's only a few weeks, you get a telling off and nothing will happen, then pay for new one

Go to the TD in Kwun Tong fill out the form, sign the waiver at the back of the form saying u havent used the vehicle, They will give you a new road permit for the full year on the full price. no telling off or anything. I did that with the bike my friend gave me for my mrs, he had it parked up and not used for 8 months, just filled out the waiver at the back and paid for the full year.

Since when do you get a telling off? If you haven't used the car/bike you haven't used it. No issue and they don't care.

vehicle license expired! ok to drive?

I imagine they take a dim view of serial offenders.

Nah they dont give a monkeys as long as you didnt get flashed for speeding or some sort of traffic offense that shows you have been driving the vehicle with expired road permit.
