Parking in shopping centres

This may be a stupid question but I am new to HK...

Can you use your Octopus card for parking in any shopping centre car park?

If not, then how do you pay for parking in those shopping centres that don't accept it?

Most would and there would usually be a sign on the way inside to indicate they accept payment by octopus.

For those that don't theres usually some sort of shroff where you go to pay prior to leaving.

"shroff" (a word used in this sense uniquely in HK as far as I know) means the office where you pay - it's normally in the shopping centre near the lifts that you take to get to the car park.
