WTF you talk about? I did that. Waited 20 Minutes or so and it was done. What you have to lose anyway other then time? If course the repair crooks don't want to wait.

One of the Siulekyuen ones, forgot which one. No need to send a mechanic there, can DIY. Just make sure the obvious things are working, light etc. Then repair what failed (if any). The make-my-car-mot-ready is usually legal robbery.

Not that the brand repair places are better. A top brand one wanted to replace the break pads - which I just did a few weeks earlier at that time.

the only one in Siulekyuen is Inchcape Motor Services Ltd, 2/F., Topsail Plaza, 11 On Sum Street, when did you do the MOT there.

edit: there is actually two, the other one is Universal Cars Ltd.

There are 2 in the same building, I used both. I forgot which one and when. They don't write w/o booking on the paper. The whole process takes them only 10 Minutes or so. Last time was the 3/rd floor one (not Inchcape). I had a booking, but went 2 days earlier because of work issues. Was no problem. If you insist on booking, book and show up early. Booking is free anyway.

Of course I didn't check ALL mot places, and things could have changed between January and now.

PS: Nothing to lose. No mot, no car use after your registration expires. You really have no other options. Of course now the non-driver will come how good the bus routes are.... :-)
